REIKI

What is Reiki?

Reiki means  ‘Universial Life Force Energy’

This Universal Energy is part of all of us and as a result the ability to learn to channell it is open to all. All you require to begin is an open mind and a desire to learn, question and discover. It is important to realize that Reiki is not a faith healing system and is freely open to all regardless of religion, creed or belief. All can benefit and make use of this valuable healing tool and gift.

Reiki can help aid:

MS, migraine, asthma, back pain, chronic fatigue(ME), tension, eczema, psorisias, epilepsy, depression and chronic ailments.

Children visit with various problems e.g. skin problems, anger, bed wetting  - some as young as 6 months old.

Reiki is for all and children can benefit greatly.

RECEIVING REIKI

The Reiki Practitioner gently places their hands, non-intrusively, over a series of positions covering the entire body.

The treatment takes about an hour, shorter for children.

Those receiving a Reiki treatment usually experience a deep calming sensation of warmth (or coolness if inflammation is present) in the area being treated. Occasionally if the person channeling has a strong enough flow of Ki (energy) the warmth will flow down through the body from the hands of the practitioner to any problem areas within the body.

Stress and mental concerns melt away often in a swirling mass of heady mist, it is not uncommon for people to fall asleep at this stage. Occasionally discomfort may be felt whilst a problem is corrected or a blockage cleared and sometimes after a treatment a short spell of dizziness, nausea or a headache in not uncommon as the body realigns itself.

As the treatment progresses energy levels are replenished, thought patterns become more positive and physical symptoms are helped along their way to recovery, sometimes healing completely by the end of the session.

There is no need to take off any clothing (except footware and watch) as the Reiki will pass through anything- even plaster casts.

Reiki is not a belief system and it is often those who try to disprove it that has the most profound healing experiences.

When should someone have a treatment?

I recommend a Reiki treatment to anyone who doesn't feel in balance with his/her own energy.

This can show in different ways like feeling stressed, loss of energy, overworked or being depressed.

It balances and revitalizes your body, prevents diseases and strengthens your immune system.

Reiki Distant Healing for Adults & Children

Reiki Distant Healing is the sending of Reiki energy to a person without the Reiki Practitioner being physically present.

As a Reiki Master / Practitioner,  I am attuned to use the symbol for Distant Healing. This symbol, combined with the other Reiki symbols, facilitates an energy connection between me and the recipient.

It is used when a person or child (as young as 6mths) is in need of healing, but is unable to visit a Reiki Practitioner.

As Reiki energy is not subject to the limitations of time, space or distance it can be sent to any person, or child, wherever they are and will be just as effective.

The healing energy channelled is as strong as that experienced during a personal treatment.

Dr. Mikao Usui

The Reiki principles are a set of ‘rules to live by’.

That was an important part of the system that Dr. Mikao Usui taught.

There were as follows:

Just for today, do not worry

Just for today, do not anger

Honour your parents, teachers and elders

 Earn you living honestly

Show gratitude to every living thing.

                                                                        Dr. Mikao Usui

I will travel to any 'elderly person', who cannot travel to me, within a 5 mile radius from Gorey.
